Teaser of actor’s Pongal release trended online throughout the day with director Vasudev Menon and fans posting online
Fans of Ajith Kumar ensured the teaser of Yennai Arindhaal, the actor’s Pongal release, directed by Gautham Vasudev Menon, created all the buzz online and especially on social networks on Thursday.
Vasudev Menon tweeted: “It’s been a pleasure and a wonderful experience. Thank you Ajith sir. This one is for you…”
The teaser was trending throughout the day, and many of the actor’s fans kept tweeting messages about the teaser. Many of them also changed their profile pictures to that of the actor’s new look from the movie stills.
The teaser had the gritty look and feel of Vasudev Menon’s previous hits, most notably Kaakha Kaakhaand Vettaiyaadu Vilayadu.
Yennai Arindhaal has two female leads in Trisha Krishnan and Anushka Shetty. Fans of Vasudev Menon’s previous hits are also overjoyed the director has once again joined hands with Harris Jayaraj. Their previous collaborations have all had hit music score.
On a day when Ajith was trending, fans of Vijay too had a cause to celebrate and make their hero a talking point. They were tweeting through the day on the actor’s successful completion of 22 years in the Tamil film industry.
Ajith and Vijay have had a competitive run in the Tamil box office for several years now, and though the actors themselves have, in recent times, expressed an off-screen friendship, their fans have been prone to be at loggerheads.
They often indulge in aggressive banter against each another on online forums.
